Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor screener at our plasma collection center. You will greet donors, guide them through registration and screening steps to assess suitability for pheresis. You’ll perform health checks, explain procedures, and ensure accurate data entry into the donor system.

With training, you may educate donors about therapies made from plasma and assist with donor registration and transfers. A fast-paced environment requires attention to safety, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in clerical or customer service roles in medical settings is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and guide them through registration to verify suitability.
• Assist donors with screening: health history, basic medical questions, refer to staff.
• Perform health screenings: blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature; finger stick for hematocrit/protein.
• Educate donors on center policies, tests, nutrition, and appointment system when trained.
• Register or transfer donors as needed after training.
• Answer calls or route inquiries to the appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor safety and notify staff of any reactions.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain confidentiality; may cross-train in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization discretion.
