Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor center team member to greet donors and verify eligibility for plasma pheresis. You will support screening procedures, conduct basic health checks, and help document donor information in the center systems.

After training, you may educate donors about therapeutic products, assist with registrations, answer calls, and help maintain a safe, efficient work environment in line with SOPs, HSE, and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history, medical questions, and referrals to medical staff.
• Perform health screening procedures (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature) and finger stick sampling for hematocrit and total protein.
• Educate new donors on therapeutic products from donated plasma after training, including screening tests, appointment system, center policies, nutrition, and other pertinent information.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed based on training and center needs.
• Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate staff as needed.
• Monitor donors for adverse reactions during and after pheresis and notify staff as necessary.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies and procedures for hyperimmune programs when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies and forms are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization's discretion.
