Job summary

CSL is seeking a position at its plasma donation center focused on greeting donors, guiding them through registration and screening processes, and performing basic health checks. The role includes data entry, answering inquiries, and ensuring donor safety in a compliant environment.

Responsibilities also cover assisting with donor education on plasma-derived products, and potential cross-training in other center areas, with bilingual skills potentially required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process in accordance with SOPs, including health history review and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick for hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products from donated plasma after training, including screening, appointment system, fees, policies, nutrition and information pertinent to the donor.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed based on training and center needs.
• Answer telephone calls and route inquiries to appropriate staff; maintain donor data in electronic management system.
• Monitor donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff; alert Group Leader to flow issues; ensure safety and compliance with HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidential donor and center information; may be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
