Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor center assistant to greet donors, verify eligibility for plasma pheresis, and support the screening process under SOPs. You will assist with health histories, answer questions, and perform standard health checks as part of the donation workflow.

With training, you may educate donors about therapeutic plasma products, manage donor registrations, and respond to inquiries. You will help maintain a clean, safe center and protect donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature and finger sticks for hematocrit/total protein.
• Educate donors on plasma products and donation processes after training completion.
• Register and transfer donors as needed and respond to caller inquiries.
• Monitor donor reactions and alert staff when necessary; maintain accurate donor data in the management system.
• Adhere to HSE/OSHA policies and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills as needed.
