Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a donor center team member to greet donors, verify eligibility for plasma pheresis, and guide them through the screening procedure. You will assist with health history questions, vital signs, and a finger stick for hematocrit/total protein.

The role involves donor education, data entry, and potential cross-training. Local policies require confidentiality and safety compliance in a fast-paced center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months in clerical or customer service role, preferably in medical/health setting.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist donors during screening per SOPs and health history review.
• Conduct health screenings: blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature; perform finger stick for hematocrit/protein.
• Educate donors on screening, appointment system, center policies, nutrition.
• Register and transfer donors as needed after training.
• Answer phone inquiries or route calls to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donors for reactions during/after pheresis and alert staff.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system.
• Maintain a clean, stocked work environment and follow safety policies.
• Ensure confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Cross-trained in other duties as needed; bilingual skills may be required.
