Job summary

CSL Plasma seeks an on-site Donor Center Assistant to greet donors, conduct registrations, and verify eligibility for plasma pheresis. The role involves assisting with screening, health history reviews, and basic medical questions according to SOPs, plus performing health checks and finger-stick hematocrit tests.

Upon training, the candidate may educate donors on plasma products, center policies, and nutrition, while maintaining donor confidentiality and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position.
• Experience in a medical or health provider environment is preferable.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and complete registration to verify donor suitability.
• Assist donors with screening, health history, and basic medical questions per SOPs.
• Perform health screening procedures: BP, pulse, weight, temperature; finger stick for hematocrit and total protein.
• Educate donors on the use of plasma products and center policies after training.
• Register and transfer donors as needed; answer calls and route to staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information; ensure safety and supplies.
