Job summary

CSL is seeking a front-line Donor Center Clerk in San Antonio to greet donors, verify suitability for plasma pheresis, and guide them through registration.

Under SOPs, you assist with screening, perform basic health checks, and document donor data in the center’s electronic information system while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

This role may involve cross-training, bilingual communication, and collaboration with medical staff to ensure a smooth donation experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability.
• Assist with screening procedures and health checks per SOPs (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature; finger stick for hematocrit/total protein).
• Educate donors on screening process, appointments, policies, and nutrition as needed.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as required by operations.
• Answer phones or transfer calls to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff promptly.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Maintain donor, personnel and center confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
