Job summary

CSL is seeking a frontline donor center associate in Brownsville, TX to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through the screening process for plasma pheresis. You will help complete health histories, perform basic health checks, and document results per SOPs in a fast-paced center environment.

After training, you may educate donors on products derived from plasma and assist with questions about appointments, fees, center policies, nutrition, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history review, basic medical questions, referrals to medical staff, and health screening procedures (BP, pulse, weight, temperature).
• Perform finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on products from donated plasma after training, including screening tests, appointment system, center policies, and nutrition.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed after training.
• Answer the telephone and direct callers to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies for hyperimmune programs and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information and participate in cross-training as needed.
