Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Plasma Collection Technician to perform venipuncture and oversee pheresis procedures in a donor center. You will set up donors, monitor the process, and ensure safety and quality per SOPs and FDA guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, 12 months of healthcare experience, and possible CA-specific certifications or RN licensure. Maintenance of equipment and accurate donor records are also part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve months experience in medical or health care environment preferred.
• CA centers require Phlebotomy certification or RN license.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors via venipuncture and monitor pheresis.
• Operate according to SOPs and FDA guidelines during collection.
• Set up donors, monitor during procedure, and disconnect after collection.
• Evaluate vein performance and adjust to expedite donation while ensuring safety.
• Educate donors on donation process, fees, policies, and nutrition.
• Record donor data and incidents in the electronic system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report safety concerns.
• Cross-train as needed and assist with equipment maintenance.
