Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to support plasma collection in a fast-paced center. You will perform pheresis procedures, venipuncture, donor monitoring, and data entry while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 12 months in a medical environment, and 6–12 months as a phlebotomist (1 year preferred). Overtime is expected to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months experience as a phlebotomist; 1 year preferred.
• Minimum 12 months of experience in a medical or health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis and plasma collection per SOPs.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis process.
• Evaluate vein performance and expedite donation while ensuring safety.
• Educate donors on the donation process, health screenings, and policies.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist or escalate as needed.
• Record incidents with a PDA and maintain accurate data.
• Troubleshoot equipment and respond to alarms or issues.
• Monitor donor flow and report issues to supervisors.
• Collect arm or whole blood samples for testing.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
