Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a phlebotomist to collect plasma via pheresis, perform donor venipuncture, monitor procedures, and ensure donor safety. You will educate donors about the process and product, handle incidents, and maintain accurate electronic records in accordance with SOPs and FDA guidelines.

The role requires high school completion, at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience for external candidates, and CSL DST training for internal applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months’ phlebotomy experience; 1 year preferred.
• Internal CSL employees must have completed the CSL Plasma DST training.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection, including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect in SOPs.
• Perform venipuncture to begin the pheresis process per FDA guidelines.
• Monitor donor vein performance and adjust to ensure donor safety and efficient donation.
• Educate new donors on plasma products, screening, tests, fees, policies and center operations.
• Respond to donor reactions and assist or notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and ensure accuracy.
