Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Plasma Donation Technician to support efficient collection of plasma from donors. You will perform venipuncture and pheresis monitoring, following SOPs and FDA guidelines to ensure donor safety and product quality.

You will interact with donors to explain procedures, maintain accurate donor data, and respond to any adverse events. A medical environment background and CA-specific certifications may be required in some centers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • For Centers located in CA additional CA-specific requirements apply: Phlebotomy certification or CA RN licensure.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and FDA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for efficient collection of plasma from donors via venipuncture and pheresis monitoring.
  • Perform pheresis procedure steps including donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect per SOPs.
  • Educate donors on the donation process, policies, and center information when needed.
  • Monitor for donor reactions and escalate to staff as required.
  • Record incidents and donor data using the electronic donor information system.
  • Maintain clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and document incidents.
  • Cross-train in other areas as needed.
