Job summary

CSL is hiring for a donor center role in the United States. You will greet donors, guide them through registration and screening, and help ensure donor safety during pheresis.

After training, you may educate donors about therapeutic plasma products and procedures, appointment systems, and center policies. Responsibilities include recording donor data accurately, answering inquiries, and maintaining a clean, compliant work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process following SOPs (health history, medical questions, referrals to medical staff, health screening like BP, pulse, weight, temperature)
• Perform finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels
• Educate donors on the use of plasma-derived products after training, including screening tests, appointment system, center policies, nutrition and related information
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed after training
• Answer phones and direct callers to appropriate staff
• Monitor donors for reactions during or after pheresis and alert staff
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system
• Understand policies for hyperimmune programs and maintain a safe environment and supplies
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information
• Possibly cross-train in other areas and may require bilingual skills
