Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support center operations under the Center Manager. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program requirements.
• Current state licensure/certification: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• CPR and AED certification currently held.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, education, history, physical examination, and lab review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations.
