Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety in a high-quality plasma collection environment. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician for medical guidance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and BioLife policies.

The role requires EMT licensure, current CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; EMT license in state of responsibility (EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, or EMT-P).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies following SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; participate in pandemic investigations if authorized.
• Provide center-level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
