Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification are required.
• Current EMT licensure in the relevant state (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or nursing licensure (LPN/LVN, RN) is required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Fulfilling state requirements for basic IV therapy and FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical examination, blood testing and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs; arrange transport when needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues affecting donor safety.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and participate in EHS-related activities.
• Manage occupational health incidents and coordinate with EHS for further evaluation.
