BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist at our Indiana plasma center. You will determine donor eligibility, review tests like SPE, manage donor safety, and coordinate with center physicians for medical guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or nursing program equivalent.
• Current state EMT-licensure or RN/LPN license.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and eligibility criteria.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage adverse events per SOPs.
• Review laboratory results and Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues or special guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health processes.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and donor transport to care facilities.
• Assist EHS with employee incidents and pandemic-related investigations.
