Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Indiana is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab tests, and coordinate with physicians to ensure donor and staff safety.

You will support the Center Manager and adhere to plasma donation regulations, with responsibilities spanning safety, EHS, and vaccination program support in a fast-paced center environment.

Qualifications

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history and acceptance requirements.
• Experience with donor adverse events assessment and emergency protocols.
• Familiarity with plasma collection regulations and related FDA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and perform physical exams and tests.
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate emergency care per SOPs.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health incidents and coordinate with EHS.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
