Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor eligibility, monitor health events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. You will work under the Center Manager for operations and the Center Physician for medical issues.

The role requires EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN licensure, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting. You will support EHS and vaccination programs as applicable.

Qualifications

• Active licensure in the state of responsibilities (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN) and CPR/AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Completion of FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, privacy, and testing considerations.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for complex medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Oversee occupational health responses and EHS-related incidents.
