Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist at the Elkhart, IN center to determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, and support center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, including nursing program requirements.
• Current licensure or certification in the responsible state (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certifications current.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history review.
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions per SOPs.
• Review laboratory results (SPE) and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues and guidance.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and escalation to occupational health.
