Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Indiana. You will determine donor eligibility, review laboratory results, and manage donor safety under_center philosophy and medical guidance.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and SOPs, while supporting vaccination programs and occupational health processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities (EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements.
• Perform physical examinations and blood testing, review SPE results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for serious findings or medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs and incident management as applicable.
