Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks an EMT- or nursing-qualified Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and lead eligibility assessments daily. You will review donor tests, manage adverse events, and coordinate with Center physicians to maintain high care standards.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, collaboration with Medical Affairs, and supporting EHS initiatives, including pandemic readiness, in a patient-centered plasma center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently licensed in the state for EMT levels or nursing license.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and donor testing results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
