BioLife Plasma Services seeks an Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to assess donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, and review testing results. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance, ensuring compliance with plasma collection regulations and safety standards.

The role involves collaboration with EHS and Medical Affairs, supporting vaccination programs, and contributing to a high-quality donor experience.

Qualifikationen

• EMT licensure and CPR/AED certification required.
• Two years clinical or hospital setting experience.
• Familiarity with donor eligibility, medical history, and safety protocols.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility per informed consent and acceptance requirements.
• Assess and manage donor adverse events following SOPs and transport if needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and escalation as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.

Kenntnisse

EMT licensure (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P

CPR & AED certified

Clinical/hospital experience

Donor safety knowledge

Regulatory familiarity

Ausbildung

High school diploma or equivalent

Nursing program equivalent (state requirements)
