Qualifications

• State licensure as EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, or EMT-P
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Two years clinical or hospital experience
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• High school diploma or equivalent as a base credential

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, exam, and testing
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS as needed
• Potentially act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs
