Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks an Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility and manage safety during plasma donation. You will work under the Center Manager and Physician guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and provide center-level EHS support.

The role emphasizes patient care and donor safety in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include EMT licensure or nursing license, CPR/AED, and FDA training.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed or certified in EMT (EMT-B/A/I) or nursing licensure (LPN/LVN, RN) as applicable.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy where applicable.
• Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health incidents with EHS guidance.
