Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an Medical Support Specialist with EMT licensure to ensure donor safety and support the plasma donation process. You will assess donors, review test results, and manage adverse events under physician guidance in a fast-paced center.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, clinical assessment, and collaboration with Medical Affairs and EHS to maintain high standards of care for donors and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified as EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification current.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues, donor safety, and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance for investigations.
