Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, manage adverse events, and follow SOPs under medical guidance and EHS oversight.

The role emphasizes high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the Center Manager and Physician to maintain center operations and donor safety.

Qualifications

• EMT-based licensure or clinical certifications required.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist required.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, and blood testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Coordinate with EHS for occupational health matters.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
