Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking Medical Support Specialists with EMT credentials to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review laboratory results to protect donor and product safety.

You will operate under the Center Manager and Center Physician, support vaccination programs, incident reporting, and EHS guidelines, and contribute to compliant plasma center operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• CPR and AED certification are current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, physical exam, and testing steps.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; act as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized.
