Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks an Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review tests, and support donor safety. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, following SOPs and FDA training requirements.

Expect responsibilities in donor assessment, medical emergencies, staff vaccination programs, and incident management within a fast-paced plasma center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent incl. nursing program with licensure requirements.
• Current state license for EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, and history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
