BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Warren, MI. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor safety, and work under the Center Manager and Center Physician for operational and medical guidance.

The role requires state nursing licensure (RN/LPN/LVN), EMT certification, CPR/AED, and clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
• Current licensure as EMT (B/A/I/P), LPN/LVN, or RN in the state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility; manage informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history, physical examination and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and center standing orders.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues and donor safety guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance; may act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
