Job summary

Dow’s Emulsions/Polymers production facility in Knoxville, TN, seeks an Operations Performance Engineer to drive environmental health & safety excellence, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will work across Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S to optimize plant performance and deliver high-quality products.

The role emphasizes problem solving, technical leadership, and collaboration with multiple functions to resolve complex challenges and improve asset utilization.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering by Jan 2027 (chemical or mechanical preferred).
Military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian PO2/Sergeant will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Prior chemical production facility experience is preferred.
U.S. work authorization with no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Operations to optimize plant performance and reliability.
Apply MET and use process automation to improve line performance.
Lead troubleshooting and document operating discipline across shifts.
Monitor KPI trends and respond to plant issues promptly.
Provide technical leadership during unplanned events and drive corrective actions.
