Job summary

Dow's Emulsions/Polymers production facility in Knoxville, TN, is recruiting an Operations Performance Engineer to drive EH&S excellence and optimize plant reliability and efficiency. You will collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S to implement MET, analyze data, and reduce costs while ensuring safe production of quality products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering by January 2027; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, relevant military experience at U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant may be considered.
• Previous experience in a chemical production facility is preferred.
• Must have U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations team to apply problem-solving skills.
• Apply MET knowledge and use process automation to optimize performance.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting with SMEs to improve plant reliability.
• Document root causes of asset utilization losses and track improvements.
• Review logs and alarms daily to stay engaged with plant operations.
• Maintain daily KPI/trends to ensure optimum performance and quick response to variances.
• Support on-call rotation and respond to plant issues as needed.
