Job summary

Jim 'N Nick's Community Bar-B-Q is seeking a hands-on Pitmaster to own the pit and meat operation in our Birmingham-area kitchen. You will run smokers, cut and portion meat to spec, and monitor quality from start to finish.

You will also manage inventory and waste, follow strict procedures for safety and sanitation, and contribute to a fast-paced team focused on house-made, high-quality barbecue.

Qualifications

• Experience as pitmaster or meat cutter preferred.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Own the pit and meat operation, run smokers with skill and consistency.
• Cut and portion to spec; monitor quality of every pound of smoked meat.
• Manage inventory and waste; follow procedures to ensure safety and sanitation.
