Job summary

Jim 'N Nick's Community Bar-B-Q is seeking a hands-on cook to own the pit and meat operation. You will run our smokers with skill, cut and portion to spec, and monitor quality on every pound that leaves the station.

You’ll manage inventory and waste in the pit and meat area, follow procedures to the letter, and uphold safety and sanitation, because the brand’s reputation rests on what comes off the smoker. Experience as pitmaster or line cook is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience as pitmaster, meat cutter, line cook, expediter, or prep cook is required.
• Must be disciplined, consistent, and proud of the craft.

Responsibilities

• Own the pit and meat operation: run our smokers with skill and consistency, cut and portion to spec, and monitor the quality of every pound of smoked meat that leaves your station.
• Manage inventory and food waste in the pit and meat area, follow process and procedure to the letter, and hold the line on safety and sanitation.
