Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to support nuclear projects by preparing pipe stress analyses and documentation for process and utility piping systems.

You will analyze piping systems, resolve stresses, and coordinate with Civil/Structural teams to ensure safe, compliant designs. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering and at least 3 years of piping design experience, with AutoPIPE/PIPESTRESS proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the design of mechanical piping systems and pipe stress analysis.
  • Experience with AutoPIPE, ME 101, PIPESTRESS and knowledge of applicable mechanical codes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems.
  • Prepare documentation of pipe stress analysis and support design for process and utility piping.
  • Coordinate loads and supports with Civil/Structural group; review piping isometrics.
  • Review and sign-off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and standards.
