Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to join the Nuclear Services Group.

You will prepare documentation of pipe stress analysis and support design for process and utility piping systems in nuclear projects, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compliant designs. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, 15+ years of piping design/analysis experience, and a PE license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in design of mechanical piping systems and pipe stress analysis.
  • Significant ASME Section III Class 1 Fatigue design experience.
  • Experience with pipe stress analysis software listed above.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite; strong writing and communication skills.
  • Nuclear industry knowledge and NRC/regulatory familiarity.
  • PE license required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete documentation of pipe stress analysis and support design for process and utility piping in nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
  • Perform piping flexibility analyses (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems.
  • Analyze sustained, thermal, and multiple operating cases; consider winds, seismic, and water hammer where applicable.
  • Identify pipe supports and locations on isometrics; coordinate with Civil/Structural team.
  • Review and sign-off piping isometrics for flexibility and supporting considerations.
  • Prepare high-quality engineering documents per codes and client procedures.
  • Provide technical reviews, mentoring, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Assist with other mechanical analyses and project leadership responsibilities.
