Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Pipe Stress Engineer to join our Nuclear Services Group.

You will prepare pipe stress analyses and supporting documentation for process and utility piping in nuclear and non-nuclear projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, safe designs. The ideal candidate has a mechanical or civil engineering degree, at least 3 years in pipe stress design, experience with AutoPIPE/PIPESTRESS, and strong writing and communication skills to support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design of mechanical piping systems and pipe stress analysis.
  • Experience with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME 101 and working knowledge of mechanical codes and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipe stress analysis and prepare complete documentation for process and utility piping systems.
  • Analyze static/dynamic piping, various loading cases (thermal, seismic, wind, etc.).
  • Identify pipe supports and coordinate loads with Civil/Structural groups; review isometrics for flexibility and support.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and reports in compliance with codes, standards and client requirements.
