Orthopedic ONE is seeking an administrative professional to support patients, providers, and staff. The role focuses on scheduling, referral processing, and accurate EMR data entry to maintain patient records and communication with outside offices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience required and computer skills are required.
• Medical office experience including use of EMR system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers calls from busy scheduling queue to schedule patient appointments.
• Uses physician protocols, insurance participation information, and patient preference to determine scheduling approach.
• Calls patients to reschedule appointments as assigned.
• Ensures correct patient identification and communicates professionally with physician offices.
• Performs data entry in EMR to maintain patient demographics and referrals.
• Handles other scheduling tasks and processes mail and faxes as assigned.
• Assists with referrals processing within 24 hours and documents scheduling attempts.
• Exhibits initiative to take on new tasks and looks for process improvements.
• Supports teamwork by covering workloads and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
