Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center is seeking a Patient Access professional to welcome patients, register new and returning patients, and coordinate scheduling with clinicians.

You will verify demographics and insurance information, assist with eligibility checks and authorizations, and help patients understand benefits and billing processes. The role emphasizes accuracy, privacy, and top-quality service within a fast-paced office.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of customer service, patient registration, scheduling, medical office, or healthcare access experience strongly preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office; excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service while managing check-in, check-out, registration, and scheduling activities.
• Verify demographic, insurance, referral, and authorization information to ensure accurate patient records and efficient care coordination.
• Schedule appointments, maintain EMR documentation, prepare charts, and support billing and referral workflows.
• Perform insurance eligibility verification, obtain prior authorizations, and assist patients with benefits education and financial counseling.
• Answer and route phone calls, coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical teams, and provide cross-coverage across departments as needed.
