The Orthopedic Institute of PA is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented scheduler to manage patient appointments, update demographics, and inform patients of changes using portal and phone. You will coordinate care with clinical staff and physicians, ensuring timely, accurate scheduling and data entry.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a medical office, strong telephone etiquette, familiarity with medical terminology, and a proactive approach to patient service.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of work experience in a medical setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
• Word processing and basic computer skills are expected.

Responsabilidades

• Answers telephone using standard OIP greeting.
• Determine caller's needs and route calls accordingly.
• Schedules patient appointments following physician protocols.
• Responds to questions via telephone, portal, or email.
• Processes electronic fax documents.
• Handles appointment cancellations/reschedules/confirmations.
• Prepares patient portal letters for mailing.
• Opens/closes switchboard per procedure.
• Provides on-call information to requesting individuals.
• Logs into hospital systems to update patient information.
• Assists with miscellaneous clerical tasks or reports as needed.
