Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient services in PSC or PST settings. You will interact with clients and patients professionally while collecting and processing specimens, following established procedures and maintaining accuracy.

You will also handle requisitions, data entry, and daily logs, while adhering to safety, privacy, and bursar requirements in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Louisiana requires it).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly.
• Disposes of blood or biohazard materials per laws, standards, and policies.
• Completes requisitions and enters patient and billing information into computer systems.
• Maintains records, logs, and PSC/IOPST technician-related documentation.
