Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office PST duties with professional and courteous interactions. You will perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, manage data entry, and communicate effectively with patients and clients in a clinical setting.

Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to handle fluctuating patient flow are essential as part of daily responsibilities and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; may be required based on state guidelines.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred; required in Louisiana.
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and courteously.
• Ensures specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly to patients and reduces anxiety.
• Enters patient, specimen, and billing information into PathConnect.
• Maintains daily PSC/IOPST logs and relevant records.
• Follows PPE and lab safety procedures.
