Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities at the PSC or in-office PST. You will interact professionally with clients and patients while collecting and processing specimens per established procedures.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, data entry, accurate requisitions, and maintaining records. A calm, courteous service style ensures patient comfort and compliance with safety policies across the lab and PSC operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient services or phlebotomy is preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry are essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a courteous manner.
• Ensures specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients.
• Dispose of biohazard materials per laws and policies.
• Enter patient and test information into PathConnect and other systems.
• Maintain accurate records and logs for PSC/IOPST.
• Assist with inventory and monthly statistics.
• Perform basic clerical tasks and electronic data entry.
