Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting. You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup personnel in a professional manner, handling specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

This role requires attention to detail, accurate data entry, and adherence to safety and privacy policies. On-site work, Monday–Friday with alternating Fridays, and a focus on courteous, confidential

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture clearly to patients.
• Disposes of biohazard materials in compliance with laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions accurately in PathConnect and/or other PathGroup apps.
• Enters patient and test information into the system with attention to accuracy.
• Matches lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and handles specimen processing.
