Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or as an in-office PST. You will interact with clients and patients professionally while collecting and processing forensic and clinical specimens per established procedures.

The role requires phlebotomy-compliant patient interaction, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate data entry in PathGroup systems. High school diploma and phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture and other collections to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Disposes of blood or biohazard fluids and contaminated sharps following laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and other PathGroup computer applications with attention to detail.
