Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting. You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff while performing specimen collection and processing per established procedures.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, accurate data entry, and maintaining records with a courteous, professional approach to ensure timely and reliable testing and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; Louisiana may require it.
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Ensure specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Dispose of biohazards per laws and policies.
• Enter patient and test data into PathConnect or similar systems.
• Label, centrifuge, and properly process specimens.
• Maintain daily records and logs for PSC/IOPST.
• Perform basic clerical duties and data entry.
