Job summary

PathGroup seeks a Patient Services Technician to support the Patient Services Center (PSC) or in-office PST, performing forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with accuracy and professionalism. The role interacts with clients, patients, and PathGroup personnel, maintaining quality and courtesy in all tasks.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen handling, data entry in PathConnect, and ensuring documentation and temperature controls meet protocol.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; required in Louisiana.
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and maintains courteous service.
• Ensures all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and reduce anxiety.
• Enter patient and specimen information into computer systems with attention to detail.
