Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the Patient Services Center and on-site procedures. You will perform venipuncture and specimen processing, interact with clients and patients professionally, and ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; may be required by state guidelines.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred; required in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and treats all customers courteously.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures; explains venipuncture clearly to patients.
• Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information in PathConnect and other PathGroup systems.
• Labels, centrifuges, and processes specimens per test orders.
• Maintains daily PSC/IOPST logs and compiles monthly statistics.
