Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or as an in-office PST. You will interact with clients and patients professionally and handle forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, accurate data entry, and the ability to maintain documentation and logs while supporting a courteous, efficient patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats them with courtesy.
• Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens following established procedures and explains the process to patients.
• Disposes of biohazard materials per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions and enters patient and billing information into systems.
• Maintains records and logs for PSC/IOPST activities and monthly statistics.
