Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC or In-office PST under supervision. You will perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with accuracy and courtesy, interacting professionally with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff.

You will handle phlebotomy, data entry, and clerical duties, ensuring proper labeling, transport, and record-keeping while maintaining compliance and a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and treats each encounter courteously.
• Collects specimens according to procedures and explains venipuncture calmly.
• Enters patient, specimen, and billing info into the system with high accuracy.
• Matches requisitions to tubes and properly labels, stores, and handles specimens.
• Maintains PSC/IOPST logs and daily records; assists with monthly statistics.
